Dave has been tattooing professionally for 11 years. He completed his apprenticeship at Painless Ric's Tattoo Studio in Camas, Washington, and worked there for 7 years. While working at Ric's, Dave made friends with another tattoo artist, Donovan Andrews, Jr., who encouraged him to explore new styles and theories in tattooing. Dave also thanks Rob Lorenz, Chris Graham, Dean Waldron, Justin Dillman, his Dad, and the rest of his family for their influence and support in opening his own studio in Vancouver, Washington.
Dave has received several awards for the quality of his work, including "2nd Place Best Tribal" at Ink Fest 2003 and "Small Black & Gray Piece"; at Ink Travelers 2004. In October of 2004, The International Tattoo Contest website shows Dave's work on Shannon's back as being one of the best nine "Traditional" pieces in the world, and in June of 2005, his work on Jacie's back was considered one of the best "Tribal" pieces in the world. In April of 2000, Dave was featured in Tattoo magazine.
Dave's favorite quote is, "Live your life to the fullest, not half full."
Dave works mostly by appointment and is usually at the studio Wednesday - Saturday.
